Richard A. Degner, with over 30 years in the geophysical industry, is the Founder, President, and CEO of Geophysical Technology Inc. (GTI). He previously founded and led Global Geophysical Services (GGS) as Chairman & CEO, growing it to a $400 million enterprise with operations in 10 countries. At GGS, he pioneered the nodal seismic technology AutoSeis and ambient seismic monitoring, earning the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year award in 2012. Before GGS, he was President of PGS Onshore Inc. and held leadership roles at Western Geophysical Services.
Degner holds degrees in Geological and Geophysical Engineering from Colorado School of Mines and an MBA from Rice University. He is a recognized inventor with several seismic patents and serves on various industry and academic boards.
