Inversion of Seismic for Geologic & Reservoir Properties

Weinman's process for creating geologic and reservoir cross sections from seismic data utilizes geo-statistical methods for calibrating acoustic impedance to core and wire line measurements. Velocity, bed geometry, porosity and thickness properties derived through inversion provide significant insight into rock type, reservoir interconnectivity, water saturation, and reservoir thickness.
